HSMN's Junior Executive program
The Hindu Society of Minnesota proudly introduces the HSMN Junior Executive Program, an exciting opportunity for high school and college students eager to gain valuable experience in the non-profit sector. This program offers a wide range of roles across various organizational units, including administration, outreach, event planning, and more. Junior Executives will collaborate with seasoned professionals, immerse themselves in the organization's mission and values, and cultivate key skills that will support their future career paths. Designed with flexibility in mind, the program allows for remote or hybrid work options based on unit needs. This is an exceptional opportunity for students passionate about community impact, seeking hands-on experience in the non-profit sector.
Availability
Must be available to commit to working 10-15 hours per week as a part-time intern.
Environment
Must be able to work remotely or in a hybrid work environment.
Duration
Interns must be able to commit to a minimum of two semesters in the program.
Attitude
Must be willing to learn and take on new challenges.
Education
High school or university students are eligible to apply.
Technology
Should have a reliable internet connection and access to necessary technology.

Candidates must submit an essay of at least 600 words. The essay should outline their interest in the HSMN internship, the specific area they wish to work in, and how their skills and experience align with our organization's mission and values.

Submission Deadline: The applicants are considered on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Response Time: Applicants will receive an email confirmation upon receipt of their application. If selected, they will be contacted for an interview.

Communication: Applicants are responsible for checking their email regularly and responding promptly to any communication from the Hindu Society of Minnesota regarding their application status.

Qualifications

Must be a high school sophomore, junior, or senior or an undergraduate college freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior.

Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week and commit to the entire duration of the internship program.

Basic computer skills and a strong interest in the field of the internship demonstrated through relevant coursework or extracurricular activities.
